Berry, an average girl from an average home, meets Hack, a girl who looks like a boy. Charmed by Hack, Berry meets up with the team Hack leads, the Ghost Detectives Club. Members of this club are "socially dead," working invisibly within the digitally controlled society of Tom Sawyer. As she works with the group, Berry learns about Zero, a mysterious figure who lurks within Tom Sawyer's underground. She and Hack decide to chase down this figure, and in time, the truth behind the city is revealed…

Bizarre animation style coupled with a even more bizarre plot. The WTF show of the whole year if not decade.

First off, this show has very distinctive animation style. Everything has the feel of a mobile game designed for kids, or maybe something like animal crossing. Personally, Im not a huge fan of the animation. As for the story, it looks like everyone lives in some kind of virtual world. Im not entirely sure what to make of this one. It is definitely distinct, but thats not always a good thing.

An interesting case study on the ubiquity of AR (to the point children have implants to always view it), a world where its customization uses a social approval currency, and the potential for criminal abuse or vandalism.
